Today I took Mona to see an art exibition by Truls Espedal. He paints some incredible pictures! Then we went to see the old town of Stavanger. Small cosy white houses. My dream is to live here one day.... It is like a fairytale town. We had to provide Mona with a raincoat, because if you know Stavanger, the sun will only shine for soooo long.

Back in Stavanger!
And so the story ends....
But continues.....
Mona will stay with us for a week in Stavanger. She had heard all about the cold and rainy Norway. But, we landed friday in beatifull spring weather. Lots of family visits at the day, and then we had dinner in Solbakkeveien. Good to see the family again!! Yesterday Mona had a look at the town both during the day, and night. She loves it. "Hmm. I need to buy a house in Norway, and then I'll just have a summerhouse in Sharm el Sheikh." No problem Mona.
And I am soooo happy. I finally got my hands on the Mini Cooper S I was supposed to have two years ago. You are mine now!!! Great car. Cruisin around town. Thor will keep the old blue Mini for a while untill he finds a new one. But the Cooper S is mine!
Last goodbye to Cairo
Our last day in Cairo. Me and Guro had lunch with Eirin and Gloria by the Nile, and Fredrik had a goodbye party at Alex with great friends. Thank you Alex for throwing the party!! Erle also made a party for Guro and Andrea.
Not much left in the appartment. I had five suitcases to fill up with the rest, and I had to sit on each of them to close them. Mona joined us on the trip back home.

Visit from Jonas and Nina
Jonas and Nina from Norway has had a long easter holiday in Egypt, and found time to come and visit us before we leave for Norway. The kids had a great time last spring, and it was really nice that they had a chance to catch up before we left. We hope to meet them sometime in Norway as well! They have demonstrated brilliant contruction abilities today, and had a dip in the pool. Ups, Jonas suddenly lost a tooth... Good we already had lunch.

Pure Lux in Alex
As a last thing to do in Egypt we had to tick off Alexandria. We cannot live here for two years without seeing it. So we jumped on the train Saturday morning, and checked into the Four Seasons hotel situated by the Corniche. Pure luxury! In great contrast to most things in Egypt. The hotel provided us with a limousine for a quick tour of the sights. "My Name is Mohammed, and I will be your driver for the next three hours. You will find water provided for your comfort, and softened wet towels by the seats if you wish to freshen up. The temperature outside is now 22 degrees, and I have set the car temperature to 20 degrees. Is that comfortable for you? If you look in the small black folder in the back you will find a selection of CDs if you would prefer some music. In the large black folder you will find an update from the larger international papers on todays headline news." Enjoy the ride...... Hmm. I could get used to this!!! Bibliotekia Alexandria, check, That big fort at the end of the Corniche, check, now drive us back to the hotel so we can enjoy a cool drink by the pool and watch the sunset!!! Ahhhh....... I am afraid we got too comfortable by the pool, so we never bothered to check out the private beach situated in front of the hotel. Well, we can't have it all....
