The whole RISK department had a day out at the new Prekestolhytten. Great building. Built in wood without the use of nails or glue. All kept very simple and tastefull. They served us a 7 course meal, and at the end of the night we headed to Stavanger again. I still have not been to Prekestolen, and It is getting embarrasing. My goal is to do the climb during this summer.

Fun in the garden
Guro, Millie and Ella was enjoing themselves in the garden today shaking the rest of the flowers off our three. And, we even got a new guinea pig. We decided that it would be too boring for snoopy to be alone all day, so we rushed off the shop to get another one. They seem to get along, but make some spooky noices at night. We had to place them out in the hallway with closed door. They assured us at the pet shop that it was two boys. I don't feel like handing out baby guineas to the neighburs.

Guro in action
The first thing Guro did after we returned to Stavanger was to join up with her old friends from the football team. After we left for Egypt lots of other girls joined the team, and now they are so many that they needed to split the team in two. Guro had a good match today against Randaberg, and the score ended 3-3. The girls were happy and did a great job!

17th May!!!
This years celebration of the national day was not at the embassy, but the real thing in Stavanger. We had reports of 41 degrees in Cairo, but I am not sure what we could say for Stavanger. But freeezzzing was how it felt! Parades, hot dogs, cakes, ice cream, barbeque.... as much as you can eat. And sore feet from new shoes. Just as it is supposed to be.

New girl in town!
Today my dad had his grand opening of the new store at Forus. They had a barbeque, wine, and proffesional hairdressers from London to demonstrate hair extentions. One of them asked me to try it out, but I could not understand what she could do with my short hair. Oh, that was no problem. Just sit down in the chair, and I will give you a new look! And oh yes, new look it was! Question is, do I dare to ware it for work tomorrow??
Fredrik is back on track
After our return to Stavanger we hardly see the kids anymore. Or, rather, when we see them, they are usually not alone! The house was packed today with Guro and Fredrik's friends. They are having a great time and enjoy the freedom they have in Stavanger compared to Cairo. And now that the days are loooong, the keep forgetting that mabe they should be comming home at night.

New member of the family
Well, I did promise Guro a new pet when we returned to Stavanger. Today we went to the pet store to purchase the guinea pig. His name is Snoopy. Quite the little charmer. At least you can pet this one. She got the idea when she visited Ben in Cairo. They had two guinea pigs, and that was it. Ben's mom was happy to give us the pets, but I knew we would not be in Cairo for long....
I drove Henrik and Tonje to Kongeparken today to continue their Russe party. Graduation in Norway is not like graduation in any other parts of the world. Party on for about two weeks. Amazing how they can keep up. Henrik and Tonje was supposed to sleep in the park, but went home last night. And, I can understand them. It is freeezzzing outside!
